About AIPA

The ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) is the official regional parliamentary organisation of Southeast Asia, serving as a vital platform for dialogue, co-operation, and collaboration among the parliaments of ASEAN member states. Originally established as the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Organisation (AIPO) on 2 September 1977, AIPA has evolved in tandem with ASEAN’s expanding membership and growing regional ambitions. Its ten full members — Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam — work together to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and advance policies that contribute to a cohesive and resilient ASEAN Community.

AIPA plays a central role in fostering mutual understanding, trust, and co-operation not only among its Member Parliaments but also with Observer Member Parliaments and various international parliamentary organisations. Through its annual General Assemblies, dialogues, and inter-parliamentary initiatives, AIPA serves as a bridge between governments and citizens, ensuring that parliamentary voices actively contribute to ASEAN’s political, economic, and socio-cultural integration. With the motto “One Vision | One Identity | One Community”, AIPA aligns itself closely with ASEAN’s broader mission of creating a people-centred, inclusive, and sustainable region.

By facilitating discussions on key regional challenges — from economic development and social justice to sustainability and security — AIPA empowers legislators to play a constructive role in shaping Southeast Asia’s future. As ASEAN marches towards its ASEAN Community 2025 goals, AIPA remains committed to deepening inter-parliamentary collaboration, promoting shared prosperity, and ensuring that the peoples of ASEAN are fully engaged in building a dynamic and united community.

AIPA Summit 2025: A Better Tomorrow is a landmark initiative that charts the future of Southeast Asia through the lens of parliamentary co-operation, inclusivity, and sustainable progress. As the region faces complex challenges — from digital disruption and economic shifts to social inequality and climate change — this conference serves as a dynamic platform where thought leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and changemakers converge to shape policies that empower ASEAN citizens, strengthen regional resilience, and future-proof our communities.

In partnership with the Social & Economic Research Initiative (SERI), the event gains a powerful dimension of evidence-based insight and actionable solutions. SERI’s expertise in bridging research with pragmatic policymaking — particularly in areas such as social justice, healthcare reform, digital inclusion, and sustainability — will elevate the conversations beyond theory into tangible impact.

We welcome all who are committed to shaping a stronger, more inclusive ASEAN — whether through becoming a sponsor, exhibitor, or delegate. Together, we can ignite conversations that drive action, inspire innovation, and lay the foundation for a future that benefits all.
